Nissan Rogue – Long Term Review

Nissan 2 increase in rogue production by 100K units

Japanese auto maker Nissan Motor Company has certainly made a mark for itself thanks to its constant production of reliable and high-performance vehicles since its inception. One such model is the Nissan Rogue. This compact crossover first hit the market in 2007 and has since been a favorite among people who prefer SUVs and crossovers.

The Nissan Rogue is ideal for small families and is known for its affordability and versatility. If you’re looking for a used Nissan Rogue, this long-term review of the model should help. The Rogue comes with pleasant exteriors that give it a macho look. The silhouette is appealing and appears more car-like than the others in the crossover genre. The soft curves and sloping roofline give it a distinct appeal. The interiors are refined and are accentuated. The front seats are roomy, giving families the kind of space they need. The rear seats also offer excellent legroom and can be folded to offer you additional cargo space, which is ample to begin with. The ride quality is good, but you cannot compare it with a luxury model.

The Nissan Rogue comes fitted with a wide variety of features even at its most basic trim. You have access to features such as power windows, mirrors, and locks, a music system, steering-wheel controls, and cruise control. You also have a rearview camera for efficient reversing and parking as well as a UBS port. The upper trim comes with Nissan’s Around View monitor that allows you a 180-degree visual of the surroundings around the vehicle.

Nissan Crossover Sales Increase in January

The Japanese automaker recently posted a 1.6% U.S. sales increase in January, compared to a year earlier – customers continued to flock from cars into crossovers, sport utility vehicles and trucks this past month. In fact, the Nissan brand, recorded a 2.9% increase to 97,220 units. Sales of Nissan’s crossover, pickups and sport utility sales have grown 18% in January. It appears that there is a shopping trend, where shoppers are ditching small cars as low gasoline prices make bigger cars more affordable to operate.

Nissan LEAF Gets “Vehicle 2 Grid” Tech

Cardinale Nissan 1_V2G

Get excited! Nissan has come up with a way to use the multi-kWh battery in its LEAF electric vehicle as a mobile power plant for homes, offices, or for returning energy to the grid. Similar to Tesla’s Powerwall, Nissan’s “Vehicle 2 Grid” (V2G) technology could save you money by powering your home during peak hours. At night, you could then charge the LEAF’s battery, leveraging the lower energy prices during off-peak timeframes. What’s more, by sending excess power back to the grid, you could even receive a discount on energy bills. Initially, V2G would ideally be complemented by a renewable energy source like solar. In a partnership with energy company ENEL, Nissan’s V2G charger runs around $900 – significantly less than Tesla’s Powerwall system, which will cost you a whopping $3,000. The V2G system launches in Denmark, followed by pilot programs in Germany, Netherlands and other northern European regions. To receive updates, or to test drive the LEAF, visit Cardinale Nissan in Seaside. During the month of December, we are selling every new car at invoice. That’s correct – not “$X over invoice”, but AT INVOICE, or in some cases, even less. Stop by today, and get excited! There has never been a better time to buy your new Nissan.

Cardinale Nissan 2

The Canton, Mississippi-based Nissan plant not only produced a chart-topping 33,000 vehicles in October, but expects to turn out 350,000 vehicles in 2015. Steve March, VP of Manufacturing, said the plant’s productivity is largely based on the 6,000-member workforce, “The men and women of Canton have really worked hard to get us to this. It hasn’t been without difficulties but we’ve overcome each and every one of them. It shows the commitment that Nissan has in this particular facility. We’re a global player, we’re a big player in the Nissan world, and it’s really important for us today.” The Nissan Titan XD will be one of nine vehicles produced in the Canton plant. The Frontier and Murano crossover SUV are produced on the same line as the Titan. March adds, “There’s no other facility in the Nissan world that has the same level of complexity that we do here.” The 2016 Titan XD is expected to hit dealers by late December. Nissan Gripz Attracts all the Attention at Frankurt Motor Show

Nissan recently took the covers off the Gripz model at the Frankfurt Motor Show and it has received very good feedback so far. The Gripz is part car, part coupe, part hybrid, part rally car. The Japanese automaker drew in inspiration from the 240Z Safari rally car and is considered Nissan’s first crossover model ever. Shiro Nakamura, Nissan’s Senior Vice President for design and Chief Creative Officer, explained how the crossover can quickly turn into a performance model. The driver has the ability to switch driving modes at the touch of a button; the car can go from EV mode to 4×4 mode in just a matter of seconds. Additionally, the Gripz can go from off-road model to Drift mode, which triggers the heart of the Gripz to give you the same feel as a rear-wheel drive sportscar. Cardinale Nissan is keeping a close eye on this model and we hope it goes into production soon so that we can see it on our lots as early as next year.
