Nissan’s Rogue Exhibits Excites Fans At The LA Auto Show

2016-nissan-rogue-seating-space-large

The Los Angeles Auto Show is a perfect time for car manufacturers to give shoppers a look at what is waiting for them during the holiday season. With many 2017 cars being fully revealed for the first time and companies able to finally show the world what they have been up to for the past year, it’s a remarkable event. Each exhibit takes time and effort to pull off, and if you visited the Nissan area this year, you were in for quite a treat. The 2017 Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Edition display in particular blew away fans of the movie franchise and Nissan, showcasing all the intricate detailing and new features that have been added for this limited edition car.

The exhibit began with a TIE fighter replica by the entrance, an iconic spaceship from the first trilogy. Stormtroopers moved throughout the hall, standing by as an escort to the car. A single dancing Stormtrooper in the center of the reveal answered questions, asked trivia questions to guests and challenged willing participants to dance battles. It was an exciting and action packed debut.

Nissan Rogue

Only 5,400 models will be produced for North America, so act quickly if you want to get your hands on this once in a lifetime ride. It is heavily emblazoned with Star Wars symbolism and represents the first time that this franchise has put its official seal on a car. The Rogue itself has a new hybrid engine option, as well as improved fuel economy and more trunk space.

Whether you are buying for a diehard Star Wars fan or a beloved family member, the Nissan Rogue is great gift for any driver. Come test drive a #Rogue at Cardinale Nissan, or check us out online at www.cardinalenissan.com.

The Murano Breaks The Mold Of Traditional Crossovers

Nissan Murano

Today, crossovers have become very common for both families and car enthusiasts alike. A quick scan across any parking lot will reveal a whole host of crossovers, like they were shaped from a cookie cutter. Nissan pioneered the class with its introduction of the Murano back in 2003, and later added the Rogue, Juke, Pathfinder and Armada to diversify the lineup. The Murano will always be the gold standard of crossovers though, and 2017 is bringing exciting changes and additions to this already stellar vehicle.

The Murano has four trim levels that are perfect for customizing exactly which features you want. The car has always been known for its classy style and elegant lines, and the interior of the vehicle reflects that as well. Its complex fusion of curves and angles on the outside will turn many heads, and the pearlescent trim and Cashmere color palette of the leather dashboard will create pure jealousy. Smartphone connectivity and an easy to use infotainment system provide all the tools you need to make your ride entertaining and fun.

Nissan 2 ratings and specs of the crossover murano

The #Murano strives to balance fashion and functionality; a great look means nothing after all if actually driving it is difficult or seems like a chore. Safety features on this crossover include blind spot warning, to detect when it’s clear to change lanes, and rear cross traffic alerts, which monitors dangerous movement behind your car. And just in case you had a late night out with friends or a long day at work, the car can arouse you from a drowsy or inattentive state.

This stand out crossover is available at Cardinale Nissan, along with the rest of the 2017 lineup. You can also find us online at www.cardinalenissan.com.

Nissan Perfects Small Batch Models

nissan-logo

Small batch production is rare in the car industry. It involves hundreds or thousands of hours of additional work in order to design a model that is significantly different from the base car, as well as the added strain on the manufacturing staff. However, for important celebrations, milestones or events a limited production of a certain car can be a great way for car makers to give drivers a thematic variation of a vehicle. Recently, Nissan developed two small batch models, the Rogue: Star Wars Edition and the Juke Black Pearl.

To celebrate the release of the new Star Wars movie, Nissan partnered with LucasArts in order to give dedicated fans a car that symbolizes the franchise. Special decals and reminders of the timeless movies will be present throughout the car, and included with each is a limited edition death trooper helmet. This Rogue will also feature all the latest upgrades that 2017 has brought to the model, including an optional hybrid engine and improved safety features. Act quickly in order to reserve your car or purchase it as gift for your family’s Star Wars enthusiast.

The #BlackPearl is a redesigned version of the Nissan Juke, and will be even more limited in availability than the Rogue. It is the first showcasing of the new Juke Color Studio, which allows users to customize nearly every possible color option on the car. The Black Pearl will come with black base paint, wheels and interior, but with several touches of white on parts like the mirrors, door handles and bumper trim.

Nissan Begins First Tests Of A New E-Power Engine

nissan-logo

When selecting a new car to buy, you take into account a number of different factors. Qualities such as design, interior material choice and horsepower all can play a big role in determining if a certain vehicle fits your lifestyle well. One of the most important traits to think about however is the gas mileage, which can save you hundreds if not thousands of dollars over the course of the car’s lifetime. Nissan’s new e-Power engine, which can be found on the newest Nissan Note, is looking to be a revolutionary development as it has drastically boosted the fuel economy of the car.

The e-Power engine is a replacement for traditional combustion engines, and works using a slightly different method. It still makes use of a combustion system, but it takes that energy and uses it to power an electric motor that ultimately drives the car forward. The first test prototype of this engine also rivals the horsepower and torque output of internal combustion engines, allowing you to save on gas without sacrificing driving power or acceleration. Thanks to this engine’s S mode, it can minimize gas consumption by operating at the lowest revs.

So just how much money can this engine save you? The latest test drive on the streets of Yokohama had a fuel economy of a whopping 88 mpg. This is easily 50 mpg more than many hybrid sedans and 60 mpg more than traditional gas powered cars. If you think that may just be an outlier, the official, JCo8-sanctioned gas consumption is 87.5 mpg. Even over rough terrain such as hills, the car manages to reach over 50 mpg.

The latest #NissanNote equipped with e-Power will be available for test drives at Cardinale Nissan in the near future. You can check out all our current deals and extensive inventory in person or online at www.cardinalenissan.com.

Nissan’s New Engine Design May Replace Current Hybrid Options

Nissan Note

When it comes to brilliant design and innovation, Nissan is always coming out with something new. The latest endeavor of their engineers is something known as e-Power, which will be found on the all new Nissan Note. It’s a new twist on the typical internal combustion engines that powers most cars, and operates much like a hybrid vehicle. Come explore this latest technological masterpiece that has already found a perfect home in upcoming Nissan cars.

The typical hybrid engine operates in a simple way. It still has a regular internal combustion engine, but it is supported by an electric motor that is powered by a battery. By using a method known as recursion, the car can charge the battery while the car is braking. This ensures great gas mileage for hybrid cars as the engine can run on both gasoline and electricity depending on how fast you need to go.

An e-powered car functions a little bit differently. The motor works primarily as a generator, creating electricity which charges the battery. The internal combustion engine itself is not directly linked to the wheels, but rather an electrical engine is. This is what provides the necessary power to get the wheels turning. Most importantly, these changes allow the internal combustion engine to operate at the revs best suited for a reduced power consumption, saving on electricity and gas. The best part about these engines is that they can provide horsepower levels similar to regular gas powered cars, meaning you don’t have to compromise.

Come check out our newest lineup of cutting edge cars at Cardinale Nissan, especially when #ePower arrives in the latest models. You can also find us online at www.cardinalenissan.com. We want to be your dealership!

Explore The Great Outdoors With The Nissan NV Passenger

Nissan NV passenger

When it comes to camping, there are many considerations before heading out on your wilderness adventure. There is all the food and supplies you will need, along with sleeping bags and tents for everyone. And of course you can’t neglect all the sporting equipment for some intense kayaking or a couple of canoes for a calmer ride. But the more important question is, where are you going to fit all this? If you enjoy long outdoor trips and need a versatile ride that will bring you and your friends off road with no trouble, then consider the new Nissan NV Passenger.

While it may look a bit different at first, the design has been perfected to balance cargo space as well as passenger seating. Most companies don’t offer a full size van that is not just a larger mini-van, but Nissan knows that sometimes you need all the space you can get. The design ensures you get the maximum storage possible for all your essentials, and also includes something no other company offers: removable split seating. This means the NV can work around how many people you need to bring along, offering a total of 324 different seating combinations to mess around with.

But the greatest part is that you don’t have to be a dedicated outdoorsman in order to appreciate all the NV Passenger has to offer. The versatility of the car is unrivaled by any competitor, and the V8 engine is perfect for driving off road or just down the highway. The #NVPassenger is also able to tow your toughest loads, so you never have to leave those extra jet skis or cargo behind.

Come fully explore this one of a kind full-size van at Cardinale Nissan, where our friendly staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have. You can also check out our entire inventory online at www.cardinalenissan.com.

Check Out Nissan’s Latest Direct To Grid Electric Car System

Nissan Kicks Concept Reveal

Nissan has always been an industry leader in electric car technology. From releasing the first economic electric car to designing the first battery that can propel an electric car for over 100 miles, Nissan is always pushing the boundaries of technology. The company’s latest experiment has been more focused on creating efficient and emission free solutions for business, including a brand new fleet of test cars at their research facility in the United Kingdom.

At the Nissan Technical Centre Europe, Nissan is working on a new direct to grid integration system for its electric cars. This small project consists of eight company vehicles that are always charging. When an employee needs to travel for whatever reason, they are able to use these electric cars to get to their destination and back. The range on the cars is ideal for short trips into town or to meetings that employees are headed to, and being electric cars they produce no harmful emissions. Additionally, this system ensures the cars are always charged and ready to use, unlike a gas powered car which will need to be refueled after a couple of trips.

The most critical part of this system is its direct grid integration. Because of this, they can both receive electricity as well as give it back in times of greater stress. These cars essentially act as extra electrical storage for the entire grid, while still operating like a normal car whenever necessary. Vice President for Vehicle Design and Development David Moss added, “it gives us the opportunity to showcase to the world how the energy management systems Nissan is developing can work in a real-life business situation.”

Electric cars are rapidly becoming the way of the future, so head down to Cardinale Nissan for a look at the Nissan Leaf. We also have a great selection of the newest Nissan models, and you can find us online at www.cardinalenissan.com.

Nissan’s Safety Shield Technology Adapts Quickly To Road Conditions

nissan logo

Every time you go for a drive you should feel confident in your car. Confident in the ability to navigate through the city and highway smoothly and rapidly. Confident that your car has been designed and engineered to be reliable and powerful. But most importantly, you should be confident that the safety features can keep you and your fellow travelers out of harm’s way. With Nissan’s patented Safety Shield technology, you can put your mind at ease knowing the system dedicated to monitoring, responding and protecting.

Monitoring is the first major feature of the #SafetyShield system. Without this step, the car would not be able to react to or even identify changes in the car or the environment. The car monitors the weather conditions and proper tire inflation, as well as warning the driver of dangerous situations. This includes technology such as predictive forward collision warning and blind spot warning, both of which adjust to how nearby cars are moving.

Responding does exactly what the name suggests: reacting to the evolving conditions that the monitoring system detects. This means in the event of an impending forward collision it can brake the car if the driver does not react to the alert themselves. This is crucial for avoiding accidents. This system also includes features like traction control for troubling weather and brake force distribution which accounts for extra passenger weight.

Finally, Nissan’s design choices include several airbags and head restraints to minimize the impact of a collision and protect loved ones. Nissan cars also include both a LATCH and SNUG system which work with child seats to keep them safe.

Nissan is always working to keep you and your family out of harm’s way, so come test drive the new Altima or Maxima at Cardinale Nissan. You can also check out all our safety features online at www.cardinalenissan.com.
