The Nissan Maxima Expertly Blends Sport With Sedan

Nissan MAxima 2

Sedans are ideal vehicles for small families or single drivers who want a bit of extra seating and trunk space for whatever the situation. They make perfect first cars as well, thanks to their affordable cost, solid size to power ratio and good fuel economy. Nissan markets a number of sedans that each cater to a different driver, with the Nissan Altima being the best seller. However, the all-new 2017 Nissan Maxima is looking to give the Altima a run for its money this year, thanks to its attractive style and bold design.

The #Maxima isn’t just a sedan; it has a stylish blend of sportiness added to it. The 300 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque that this 3.5-liter V6 engine generates easily rivals that of many full blown sports cars. When designing this machine, the engineers drew inspiration from the several parts of the GT-R, Nissan’s powerful supercar, such as sodium-filled valves and the fuel-injection process. Nissan has also developed a continuously variable transmission that allows the car to switch between gears much faster than a normal transmission. This allows the car to accelerate more rapidly and generally feel more responsive.

Nissan maxima

The exterior and interior also add to this sporty feel. The car’s sweeping aerodynamic line was modeled to look like a jet fighter, in order to set it apart from other sedans. The aero design transitions into the interior as well, which you might be able to guess is very similar to that of a cockpit. The cabin is a lovely cream color, with high quality Ascot leather and a diamond-quilted pattern that feels like luxury. The push-to-start button also blinks red as you hop into to the car, as if it is eager to be driven.

Come enjoy this incredible driving experience at a Monterey car dealership like Cardinale Nissan, where you can become the pilot of this sporty sedan. We also have great deals on all our inventory and offer a host of affordable Nissan services, so find us online at www.cardinalenissan.com.

A Few Simple Reasons To Take A Closer Look At The Nissan Rogue

2016-nissan-rogue-cayenne-red-large

Companies are installing so many new interesting and exciting features on their vehicles that it can sometimes be difficult to distinguish which ones are truly important. Having all these features isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it makes finding a car that meets your needs a daunting task. It can be especially hard to determine what features are different from last year’s model, so here is a quick guide to the three major updates the Nissan Rogue received.

All-Wheel Drive: The Nissan Rogue is a stylish crossover SUV, not a huge truck or full-size SUV. These two classes are the typical cars that feature an all-wheel drive setup, but the Rogue is no ordinary vehicle. It makes great use of AWD in order to charge over difficult terrain with ease, as well as make driving in hazardous conditions much less stressful. This car is designed to be versatile, and including all-wheel drive helps make any outdoor adventure a bit easier.

Remodeled Interior: While the exterior did undergo a few changes to its grille and body, the true beauty lies in its interior. Powerful sound-absorbing materials and thickened window glass minimize the amount of noise from highways and rough roads, so every drive is relaxing and quiet. The optional dark camel leather and extra stitching really solidifies the luxury feel and lavish upholstery.

2016-nissan-rogue-almond-leather-side-view-large

Hybrid Engine: The most alluring update for most drivers is the new #hybrid engine. It may not output the same levels of horsepower or torque, but the heavily increased fuel economy easily makes up for it in economic savings. This engine still packs a punch and is just as responsive as the classic design.

Come try out all these outstanding features at Cardinale Nissan, where you can test drive the 2017 Rogue or a used Nissan Sentra for yourself. We are the number one Monterey car dealership, so be sure to check out our extensive inventory online at www.cardinalenissan.com.

Nissan Looks To Expand Electric Car Development Platform

nissan-logo

Throughout the years, electric cars have gradually become more developed as a practical way to power a vehicle, rather than a sort of experimental way to cut down on emissions. A big part of this has been the steady increase in available battery life and range, that makes these cars far better suited for everyday drivers. Additionally, there has been a large increase in charging speed and the number of charging stations all around the country. In order to continue this trend of positive growth, Nissan, Renault and Mitsubishi are joining their efforts in electric car development by merging their platforms.

These mergers provide several immediate benefits. The companies can start sharing their latest research and tests, and can avoid redundant research ventures that would consume valuable time and resources. Each company also has their own areas of specialization, and combining these will ensure the final vehicle is elegant and well-crafted. Renault and Nissan have created many positive projects together in the past, and their joint efforts along with Mitsubishi will hopefully jump start an era of exciting breakthroughs.

#ElectricCars are understandably more expensive than traditionally cars, but can quickly make up that difference with various government incentives and fuel savings. This collaboration is designed to bring prices down as similar level as comparable gas cars. If this group effort can output more cars like the Nissan Leaf, and make them more cost and fuel efficient, then it can have a positive impact on the environment. The Nissan Leaf is already an economic option for drivers, and has one of the longest ranges currently offered.

The Nissan Titan Is Perfect For A Driver Of Any Experience Level

2016-nissan-titan-xd-pro-4x-solar-flare-large

Multipurpose vehicles have been gaining traction in markets over the past few years thanks to their versatility. Car makers have been rapidly trying to incorporate as many technological and safety features into their cars, as well as expand the cabin to fit a family. This has made classes like the crossover SUV very popular. In a surprising reveal though for this year, Nissan has managed to bring this adaptability to their full-size pickup trucks like the Nissan Titan.

The #NissanTitan has always been a dependable and long lasting truck meant for hauling trailers and tackling any other odd jobs. For 2017 though, Nissan decided to broaden the appeal of this pickup to more drivers, including people who have never piloted a truck before. While they may seem bulky or difficult to maneuver, trucks like the Titan are crafted to be incredibly user and family friendly. Wide mirrors and a 360 degree camera mean that backing up and shifting lanes is easy and quick, while the conservative sizing of the Crew Cab and base Titan model makes the car handle more like an SUV. We encourage you to stop by for a test drive and see for yourself how practical driving the Titan is.

Nissan Titan

While the Titan may have a larger cabin and more luxury interior features this year, it hasn’t forgotten its roots. The 5.6-liter Endurance V8 engine with Adaptive Shift Control and Downshift Rev Matching handles both the road and towing with ease, putting out enough horsepower to manage any load. It also includes Zero Gravity seats so any long rides or vacations are comfortable and cozy.

The 2017 Titan is designed to give any truck driver, new or experienced, the best value from their well-earned money. Come test drive one at your local Monterey car dealership, Cardinale Nissan, where we offer a great selection of cars, including the new Nissan Altima. Don’t forget to be on the lookout for our latest deals online at www.cardinalenissan.com.

Stunt Driver Sets New J-Turn Record In A Nissan Juke

NIssan juke

There are a number of specialty turns and maneuvers you can use to get out of or into some tight situations. The most popular is the U-Turn, which is always handy for when you accidentally drive by your location and need to turn around. Parallel parking allows for numerous cars to fit onto the sides of streets or busy roads. Also popular is the J-turn, in which a car goes from forward to reverse while only moving in a confined space. Recently, a driver piloting the Nissan Juke, with the help of its Intelligent Around View Monitor (AVM), performed a J-turn “blind” and set a new world record.

It may come as a strange surprise, but there are official records for performing each of these maneuvers, and they even have a “sighted” and “blind” category. The sighted category allows for the use of both cameras and regular vision, but the blind category requires all the windows to be blacked out so the driver must rely on the car’s cameras. Fortunately, the #NissanJuke is one of the few cars to feature an Intelligent AVM, which gives a crystal clear image of the surroundings along with a 360-degree bird’s eye view.

Nissan 1 Juke upgrades

The turn was completed by stunt driver Paul Swift, who had to pivot the car 180-degrees around in a space only 18 cm longer than the car itself. Suffice to say, that is no simple task, even when having full vision. Swift was able to complete the turn in record time, setting a new blind record and even tying the time for a sighted turn. He added, “I can really see how using the AVM technology in everyday driving situations would be a real benefit to Nissan customers.”

You too can try out the AVM system by test driving the 2017 Juke at Cardinale Nissan, the number one Monterey car dealership. We have great deals on new cars like the Nissan Maxima, and you can check us out online at www.cardinalenissan.com.

Nissan Leads Discussion Of A New Age Of Vehicles

Nissan Leaf 4

Through the advancement of technology, car companies are looking to push their vehicles into an era of programmability and safety. Electric and hybrid cars operate with incredible energy efficiency, and when operating on battery power have zero emissions. New autonomous or self-driving cars can make long drives on highways more bearable. All these discoveries help make the world a safer and cleaner place, and Nissan has recently held a talk about its new, “technological breakthrough in the realization of a zero-emission, zero-fatality world for everyone.”

All electric cars like the #NissanLeaf and hybrid cars like new Nissan Rogue are reducing the amount of pollutants and greenhouse gases that are emitted into the atmosphere. In places like China and in areas London, smog and pollution has become so bad that wearing a surgical mask to go outside can be a necessity. These foul contaminants cause lung damage and exacerbate current conditions like asthma. Those governments have already imposed emission regulations on new cars, and Nissan is leading the charge against pollution with its combination of electric, hybrid, and fuel efficient cars. The company recognizes that changes need to be made in order to avoid such conditions in America, and is already taking action.

2016-nissan-leaf-rear-profile-black-large

The other major talking point explored the inherent safety of having a society that drives mostly autonomous vehicles. With a common technology or connection, these cars can easily share information with nearby autonomous cars, including intended path and when they will speed up or slow down. This could even make accidents and collisions an event of the past. Look for these cars to be on the market as early as 2020.

You too can reduce your emissions by getting a new or used Nissan Sentra or electric car at Cardinale Nissan, your local Monterey car dealership. We have a great sales team that can answer any questions you may have, or you can visit our website at www.cardinalenissan.com.

Nissan Explores A Potential Partnership With Mitsubishi

Cardinale Nissan 4 shutterstock_231630193

In case you haven’t been following Nissan in the news, the company has been looking to join forces with Mitsubishi Motors and reviving them from their current position. Mitsubishi was recently faced the consequences of inaccurately presorting fuel-economy figures, but Nissan firmly believes it can bring back the company from the hole it is currently in. This partnership would create shared research groups and development, as well as bringing back thousands of jobs. Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosen recently outlined why he believes that the partnership could be greatly beneficial for everyone.

Back in 1999, Nissan had been through some difficult times and was on the brink of bankruptcy, but a timely joining of forces with the company Renault turned that all around and turned it into the industry powerhouse it is today. A similar partnership with Mitsubishi Motors will have a number of economic and consumer benefits. The biggest factor behind this merger is that Mitsubishi’s strengths complement Nissan’s, and it will help the company grow in key areas like deeper localization, common vehicle platforms and technology sharing. This is especially important as more electric and self-driving cars hit the market.

Additionally, Nissan will be able to salvage many of the physical assets that Mitsubishi had to shut down, including production plants and dealerships. This will create thousands of jobs and bring some life back to the communities most affected by these closures. Perhaps most importantly, Ghosen commented, “We know what it’s like to face a crisis and emerge stronger,” and they can use that experience to hopefully achieve a similar result as the #Renault-Nissan Alliance.

The Nissan Titan And Frontier Dominate 2016 Sales

2016-nissan-titan-xd-pro-4x-solar-flare-large

It has been an exciting and crazy 2016, even in the auto industry. With talks of new hybrids, electric vehicles and self-driving cars, some interesting makes and models are destined to find their way to dealerships in the coming future. But surprisingly, 2016 has been a standout year for trucks, with sales reaching record highs. Perhaps this is due to their versatility and usefulness for everyday tasks. Regardless of the reason, the Nissan Frontier and Titan have been incredibly popular, and their new 2017 changes have only added to the excitement.

The mid-size Frontier and full-size Titan are two highly awarded trucks in their class, and have had great sales over the past year. The 2017 Frontier has some good competition in the Toyota Tacoma and the Chevy Colorado, but its dependable engine and spacious cabin have made it a big hit with families. It has shown an impressive 41.5 percent increase in sales, and Nissan is already working on installing its NissanConnect technology and mobile apps into the upcoming 2018 model. If you need a family ride that is in it for the long haul, consider the Frontier a strong candidate.

The 2017 Titan and #TitanXD have already been released, and the Crew Cab version is not far behind. So far the updates to its exterior and interior design have been well received, with the car sporting a huge 363 percent increase in its third month of sales. This full-size pickup is perfect for those who want a little more luxury in their cab while still maintaining a powerful towing capacity.

Come check out either of these new trucks or a used Nissan Sentra at Cardinale Nissan, your local Monterey car dealership, where our friendly sales team will be happy to give you a test drive. Nissan Works Toward The Development Of Connected Cars

nissan-logo

As designing self-driving cars has become the goal that most automakers have set themselves, it’s important to consider all the potential benefits that a computer operated car can provide. These machines not only let you relax a bit more on your drive to work each morning, they provide important information that can save you time and money. This is an idea known as “connected cars,” and it allows for better navigation, predictability and safety.

Much like the transition that phones made from a simple calling device to a computer in your pocket, vehicles are slowly becoming autonomous and also soon be able to connect to the internet. This change will allow cars to communicate with one another and relay information back to a central system. It can then use this data to improve the effectiveness of apps such as navigation. Each car immediately knows if there is an accident on the highway or if some new road work is slowing down traffic, thanks to other cars that have already encountered the incident. This allows for real-time updating of your route.

There are numerous exciting applications of this connectivity. Want to know if there is an open charging station or a spot available in a parking garage? Using environmental sensors, an already parked self-driving car could tell if there is room open next to it, allowing entire parking lots to be mapped out in less than a second. These dynamic apps will change the way people drive and navigate, and adapt to the constantly changing world by simply being connected to other vehicles.

Nissan expects to have these cars on the road by 2020, but for now you can check out the award winning #Nissan Altima or a used Nissan Maxima at Cardinale Nissan. We have a wide selection of all the new 2017 models, so check out our whole inventory online at www.cardinalenissan.com.

Nissan Releases Next Truck In Titan Lineup

Nissan Titan

The 2017 Nissan Titan XD full size pickup hit dealerships months ago as one of the earliest releases of the new year’s lineup. It was a teaser of what was still to come from the rest of Nissan’s Titan versions, which all offer their own individual packages. The next Titan to arrive is the regular Nissan Titan, which has been redesigned like the XD in order to offer more of the features that truck drivers are searching for.

The Titan XD is Nissan’s biggest heavy duty pickup, while the Titan is a bit more compact and better suited for people who don’t need to tow extremely heavy loads. That’s not to say the Titan lacks in the towing department; a 390-hp V8 engine with seven-speed transmission can haul some of the biggest trailers. Currently only the V8 is offered, but the V6 option will be marketed at a later date. Additionally, the truck is currently only offered in a four-door crew cab, with an optional extended-cab version arriving soon. This is in addition to the number of attractive upgrade packages like the ever popular PRO-4X and stylish Platinum Reserve.

nissan-titan-xd-sliding-toolbox-large

The crew-cab model is one of the most attractive versions of this rugged truck, as it still provides plenty of seating for family members and cargo room in the bed for extra luggage. Aluminum cleats on the sides of the bed can be repositioned and locked down to provide a place for bungee cords or cables to loop through them. It also includes a 120-volt power outlet and LED lights so you can work hard even in the dark.

Come check out any of this versatile lineup of trucks at Cardinale Nissan. We can help you find one to meet your needs, or you can check us out at www.cardinalenissan.com.
