Nissan North America Shatters Two-Million Combined Sales Barrier in U.S., Canada and Mexico in Fiscal 2015

The recent statements from Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) indicate that the company sales for the 2015 financial year reported an all-time record figure of 2,009,119. This is the first time that the company sales have crossed the 2-million mark. Each sales region of NNA – Mexico, Canada, and the United States – also recorded individual volume record numbers for the financial year that ended on March 31, 2016.

The automaker has reported increases in its market shares in the 8 years out of the last 9 years with the shares of 2015 financial year touching 9.6%. Moreover, the brand’s investment of over 18 billion dollars in North America in the last thirty years has led to a yearly manufacturing volume of 2 million units. Around 85% of the cars sold in the country in 2015 were manufactured here.

The NNA sales that started in the new financial year on April 1, 2016 are expected to stay strong driven by many new introductions. Nissan will launch more models of its new Titan pickup in addition to a new gen Armada sports utility vehicle. Infiniti is also rolling out the new Q60 sports coupe and QX30 crossover apart from 3 fresh engines for its bestselling Q50 sports sedan.
