Nissan LEAF Sets New World Record


In the midst of America’s National Drive Electric Week, the state of California was witness to the world’s largest-ever parade of electric vehicles; with 507 cars in one place, the meet up is considered to have shattered previous records. Nissan claims that the majority of the electric vehicles at the event were Nissan LEAFs and as a sponsor for National Drive Electric Week this year, Nissan revealed that electric vehicle sales are on the rise and the trend is expected to continue. Toby Perry, Director of Nissan EV Marketing, said: “We are currently at around 61,000 sales in the United States since the launch of LEAF four years ago. It is number one in the market (and) number one in the world.
