The New Sales Chief Of Nissan USA Changes Ad Campaign Approach

Nissan

The latest news from Nissan is that they are looking at a new advertising strategy with the aim of acquiring a unique Brand Image for Nissan in the future. The new marketing campaign will be launched in May of this year. The advertising will start at the tier 2 dealer followed by a National Brand advertising campaign.

Could this new and ambitious marketing campaign, due in May, be the harbinger of brighter days ahead for Nissan in the American auto market? Christian Meunier, Nissan’s new head of sales in the U.S, certainly seems to think so. Immediately after being appointed head of sales in January, Meunier met with Nissan’s advertising agencies and made it very clear to them that he was very unhappy with the existing advertising strategy of Nissan.

He felt that despite the large amount of money spent on advertising, the brand image of Nissan was too vague in the American market. He asked the advertising agencies to devise a new strategy to establish a unique and a positive brand image for Nissan. After a few disagreements, the advertising agencies came up with a plan that satisfied Meunier.

Given the fact that Nissan has announced that it seeks to improve its share in the American Market from 7.4 percent to 10 percent, the news of Nissan’s fresh approach to marketing and building a unique brand image is very exciting. A successful brand image is purpose of every advertising campaign in the auto industry and the strategy to establish an excellent brand image is a long and a laborious one. Keep your eyes out as this new strategy takes effect.

Visit Cardinale Nissan to let the cars do the advertising for themselves.

Performance Specs of the 2016 Rogue

2016-nissan-rogue-cayenne-red-large

Rated as the best in class Small sports Utility Vehicle, the all-wheel drive Nissan Rogue has a regular unleaded I-4, 2.5 L engine.

Performance Specs:

  1. Engine: The 16 valve, 4 cylinder engine outshines among other cars when it comes to climbing and weaving in traffic. The car is efficient and innovative. The 2.5L engine is powered by 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft torque.
  2. AWD: The All- Wheel Drive (AWD) stands apart from regular 4-wheel drive. The AWD intelligently differentiates between cornering and cruising, off road and on road. The car responds accordingly by putting in maximum performance when needed and holding back when necessary.
  3. Xtronic CVT: Isn’t it frustrating when you don’t achieve the speed while driving an automatic? The Continuously Variable Transmission ensures that the variable gear ratios are maintained at all times giving you the maximum speed every time you hit the gas pedal.
  4. Hill descent and Hill climb on AWD: The hill assist option prevents the car from rolling backwards during steep ascents. Climb is maintained by automatic control over the brakes by giving the driver time to manually shift from the brake pedal to gas. On the other hand while driving downhill, if the brake pedal isn’t sufficient, the descent control regulates the climb down speed.
  5. Eco mode: This mode enables fuel efficient driving to maximize potential fuel economy.
  6. Other performance features of the 2016 Rogue include Active engine braking , active ride control and trace control

The Denki Cube May be the Future

1_large

‘Denki’ is Japanese for ‘electric’. So we can make the connection that the Denki Cube concept car is an electric version modeled along the lines of the already existing model from Nissan, the Cube. The vehicle is boxy, like the Cube, yet quite functional as well as fashionable.

Outer design:

The front grille is adorned with lightning bolt cut outs, following its ‘electric’ theme. The Denki Cube is powered by a battery (lithium-ion) and the AC charging port is also located on the front grille, cleverly concealed behind the Nissan emblem.

Internal design and technology:

The seats are a bright yellow with gray as well as white accents. There is ample leg room as the wheelbase is stretched to 9.4 inches (from the traditional Cube) to make room for the battery pack. There is also a large glass roof panel providing passengers with a feeling of openness. The traditional gauge cluster is replaced by an LCD screen.

Performance:

The Cube’s standard 1.3-litre in-line 4-cylinder engine (gasoline) has been replaced in the Denki Cube with lithium-ion batteries which are located right under the seats. The battery’s unique technology offers more power as well as battery stability. It also contributes to the packaging flexibility which is difficult with conventional cylindrical batteries.

With clean energy being the need of the day, the Denki Cube aims to provide an efficient, stylish, and environmentally safe way to get around.

Keep watching our blog and social media sites for updates on the future of the Nissan Denki Cube. Until then, to see Nissan’s incredible lineup of existing vehicles, come to Cardinale Nissan in Seaside to explore a lineup of stylish, fun to drive, fuel efficient sedans, trucks, crossovers, SUVs, hatchbacks, minivan and electric vehicles.

Nissan Leaf Will Work With the Cloud

2016-nissan-leaf-rear-profile-black-large

From the very beginning, Nissan’s fully electric car, the Leaf, was designed with the capability to connect to the cloud. Nissan’s CIO Celso Guiotoko has said that the cloud will provide flexibility to provision additional capacity when needed and the ability to take advantage of new technologies as they develop. The public cloud platform which Nissan is using is Microsoft Azure.

As you might know, fully electric cars have a smaller range than traditional gasoline or diesel powered vehicles. Additionally, charging stations for such cars are also less abundant than traditional fuel stations. Worries can arise regarding how much energy the car is using, or how long it has been since the last charge, or how much charge it has left. In such situations, having your car connected to the cloud would provide a huge advantage. This is delivered through an app that relies on a cloud-based service that will collect and share data and instructions between the Leaf and the app.

The LEAF’s online service is known as NissanConnect EV. It will allow users to:

  • Check current charge level,
  • Start charging,
  • Check when charging will complete,,
  • Trigger the climate control remotely,
  • Check estimated driving range between charges,
  • Record and store basic driving history, including times and distance travelled.

The cloud service acts as the broker between the car and the app. You won’t be able to connect the app to the car directly via the internet. This means that both the app and the car don’t have to be online at the same time in order for the app’s features to work.

The Nissan Leaf is one of the most innovative and incredible vehicles to ever exist. To see the Leaf for yourself, we recommend coming into Cardinale Nissan to explore how this vehicle has environmental and driving benefits built right inside.

Nissan Envisions a Future in Vehicle Intelligence

Nissan 2

Nissan’s influence in the market for small cars, SUVs, commercial vehicles, and electric vehicles has made it a pioneer in automobile innovation and engineering. Recently, they announced their partnership with Foster + Partners, an international studio for architecture, engineering, and design, to consider a “future of mobility” concept. This concept deals with zero emission technology and its impact on design.

Nissan concludes that the fuel station of the future is the automobile itself. As technology develops, so will our way of living. Nissan illustrates this with a video featuring Nissan LEAF and futuristic IDS Concept. They believe that when technologies integrate with each other, many of the challenges in cities can be tackled. Thus, they’ve mused with the idea of a transport system that is both environment- and infrastructure-reliant.

As a forerunner of the commercial electric vehicle and zero-emission technology, Nissan is running trials that allow drivers to act as energy hubs to store, use, and return clean energy to the grid. This concept includes coupling advances in its second-life batteries with a vehicle-to-grid system.

The use of energy in cars can be optimized with combining many of the automobile’s technologies such as vehicle-to-grid, wireless charging, battery storage and autonomous drive technology. As the world embraces renewable energy, it becomes vital to creating a sustainable refueling network. Infrastructure is another challenge that they are looking to overcome due to the rapid urbanization and growth of cities.

The collaboration will look into Nissan’s vision for Intelligent Mobility where cars interact with their environment as populations move on to zero emission technologies. Rush to the Cardinale Nissan showroom to know more about Nissan cars.
