The 2022 Nissan Murano seats five passengers. Buyers can choose between four trim levels, listed as S, SV, SL and Platinum. All models are powered by a 3.5-liter V6 good for 260 horses and 240 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The Murano gets standard front-wheel drive and available all-wheel drive. The driver and passenger will enjoy the Murano’s smooth and comfortable ride; this SUV can glide over potholes effortlessly. Owners will appreciate the 1,500-pound towing capacity.
Fuel economy is excellent. RWD and AWD models both get an EPA-estimated rating of 20 mpg city/28 mpg highway.*
The Nissan Murano comes with a long list of standard features, even at the base S trim level. Look for standard features such as 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry and ignition, LED headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, a stereo system with six speakers, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio and four USB ports.

The range-topping Platinum trim includes upgraded leather seating, ventilated front seats, heated and cooled front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and NissanConnect emergency notification services.
As of this writing, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) have yet to test the 2022 Nissan Murano. However, the 2021 model received the highest safety designation of Top Safety Pick+ by the IIHS, while the NHTSA gave the 2021 Murano its highest rating of five stars for overall safety. We expect the 2022 Nissan Murano to get identical scores.
