Nissan’s Safety Technology Development Concept

Safety

Nissan is committed to reducing the loss of life or injuries as a result of vehicle accidents. The company has been working for quite some time and making changes to the technology in order to ensure that its vehicles are as safe as possible. With the goal in mind, Nissan has introduced the safety shield technology. The main purpose of the idea is to affirm that sufficient barriers are created around the vehicle, which will avoid any impact to the driver and the co-passengers in case of a collision. Under normal driving conditions, these barriers will be there to safeguard the driver and the passengers.

Nissan has introduced the Zone body construction, which has been designed to absorb the impact of any collision. Along with this, the seat belts and the airbag system have been put in place to provide ample safety to everyone within the car.

Here is a quick look of some of these features:

  • Advanced Airbag System – There is a dual stage front airbag system that seat belt sensors. The severity of the crash directly impacts the inflation rate of the airbags.
  • Front Seat-Mounted Airbag – These bags move with the occupants and are built in the back of the front seats.
  • Roof-Mounted Airbag– These airbags protect the head of the occupants.
  • Active Head Restraints – These protect the occupants in the front seat from whiplash injuries.

All of these features, along with ABS, AFS, and VDC technology, have reduced 27% of fatal injuries within the past two decades.
